House projects

Last weekend my mom and a couple of her friends came over to paint our living room. I love the colors that we put up, it looks so nice. Now we just need to replace the carpet some day! After we got everything cleaned up in the room Vahn rented a carpet cleaner and cleaned the living room and kitchen carpet. WOW, it needed it bad!

The entire up stairs has been repainted since we moved in and it feels so much better. We have a list of projects to do yet, I think we will wait awhile now with the baby coming!

Here are a few pictures from Christmas at my parents house. I am having trouble downloading rest of the ones I want..maybe someday it will get done!!

The TV was a Christmas present from each other this year. We found the TV stand at Target that we liked so our living room is coming together! Next weekend my mom and a couple of friends are going to paint the living room for us. Then our entire upstairs will be painted this last year! I am looking forward to putting up some new things in the living room too! We are getting closer to our due date and our projects are getting finished! It feels pretty good!

The start of the Baby's Room

Saturday my parents and Ed & Luan Montag came over to help Vahn and I do a few things around the house. The guys worked on putting new base trim up while us girls worked on this upper case living to put up on the wall! The room is coming together...still looking for a few things yet!

8 Weeks left!

For the next five weeks Vahn and I will spend our Wednesday nights in the EMS Conference Room at the Algona Hospital, taking a labor class. Last night was the first night and it went really well! Vahn got picked to wear suit the entire evening from 6:30- 9 to see what it feels like. He was ready to take it off by the end of the night! Vahn was a great sport and gave us many laughts! It's a good thing I carry my camera with me to catch these pictures of him! I look forward to the following weeks of our class!

Christmas 2008

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas Holiday! I can't believe it is over and we are starting 2009. Vahn and I spent some time with Nick over the holiday. He got to WB on December 23rd and was here till Sunday the 28th. We enjoyed our time with Nick while he was home for Christmas! Here are just a few pictures of our Christmas's we had. We started our Christmas on December 19th with the Schumacher family in Oskaloosa, IA. We stayed with Vahn's parents for the weekend and enjoyed our time with Erica, Doug, Ben and Vahn's parents Deb and Darrell. Then Vahn and I had the week off to do some things around the house. It was a nice week off together! On Christmas Eve we had my parents over and Nick along with my Grandma and Uncle Steve who brought Ethan a kid he is a Big Brother for. Then Christmas Day was spent at my parents opening up gifts. That Saturday we had our last Christmas gathering which was with the Schumacher gang in Early, IA at Nick and Amy Shumacher's house. In one of the pictures Vahn is playing with Sophia...I think he will do just fine if we have a little girl in March:)
