BOSTON!

Wednesday early morning the flu hit our house...or me anyway! Thankfully my mom was able to come over and help me with the girls when Vahn went to work at 1PM. It took everything I had to hold Grace and just feed her. Thankfully the next day I was feeling somewhat better but Vahn wasn't. Thursday morning he called and said he was leaving work he didn't feel well! Oh great! We decided to have my mom take Emma back to West Bend hoping she wouldn't get it and help us get some more rest. Friday morning at 3:30 AM Vahn got ready to head to Boston to help Ben move out there. Vahn wasn't sure if he was going to make it but he did. Now its later Friday morning and I get a call from my dad...my mom now has the flu!!!!! Can this week get any worse! I head to meet my cousin Chelsea in Algona to pick up Emma...so far Emma hasn't got it. Let's pray she doesn't! Now both my parents have the flu! The weekend I had planned isn't turing out but the good news is Vahn is feeling better and gets to enjoy his trip with his dad and brother. Thank you LORD! Darrell took out his camera so hopefully I can post some pictures of their trip when they get back.

I am ready for the weekend to be over and everyone to be healthy again! I guess when you don't leave the house you still can get the germs and get sick!!! When Vahn gets home I know I will be ready to be out and about for awhile....haven't left the house for too long since Tuesday!
Vahn and I wanted to visit Maine for our honeymoon but the weather wasn't great in April. I can't wait to visit Ben in Boston then drive up the coast to Maine someday. It's only 4 hours which I am sure is a beauitful drive!

Now with having both our bothers leaving states away is sad but glad they both have good jobs and get to experience a different part the country! We will have to start saving so we can go visit both of them. I know they will enjoy seeing the girls!

Some pictures of our little Gracie!

Grandma enjoying sometime with Gracie.
Uncle Ben holding Grace after the Baptism before he leaves.
It will be awhile till we see Ben he moved out to Boston
this weekend.

Daddy and Grace enjoying some zzzzz's!
Grace isn't a big fan of being on the floor for too long
we keep working on it though!

Emma loves to play!

Emma has done so well with not being the only child anymore.
She is a great big sister has helped me out a lot. Don't
get me wrong she still has her moments when
she just wants mommy and daddy's attention!
When I am busy with Grace during the day, Emma keeps herself
busy by playing in her room or sitting in her pink chair reading!
She loves baking us cookies and pizza! You will rarely not
see Emma without a doll of some sort in her arms. She is a little mother herself!
She is a girly girl but she also is a girl that loves to be
outside with dad playing with Gus or in the basement throwing the ball around.
I told Emma she will be my catcher and Gracie will be our pitcher someday.
Emma just giggles!

Loves playing with Gus!

Emma trying to take my picture.
Nick this was an awesome gift. She loves
the camera you gave her!! Everyone it
takes real pictures that you can see and download
on your computer. Its pretty cool! Now
Emma doesn't need to use ours!
She decided she needed mommys Hawkeye
hat on.
This is Emma's pretend car.
She is going shopping...don't tell daddy!
Emma just getting a kick out of her dress up
clothes!

Emily and Andi yes those were my dress up clothes!!
And Emily do you notice what Barbie she has!
Its Taylor!!! She brought her back from my
mom and dad's house...and just loves her!
I told her Emily and mommy loved Taylor too
when we were little!
The doll has a Hawkeye outfit on...which makes
it even better!

Grace is 1 month old!!!

Hard to believe that Grace is a month old already. She is changing so much. Grace started cooing when we talk to her and is enjoying her two moblies. We still need to work on the bottle, hopefully she will catch on that quickly!! Grace wakes up once to twice a night to eat
which isn't bad. I feel she sleeps way better than Emma ever did!

Next month I will get better pictures Grace wasn't enjoying the all the photos and things I was trying to do!!!

Grace's Baptism

Getting Grace ready for the Baptism
She did a great job during the Baptism, she slept through it all!
After Church we headed back to our house for lunch, cake and opening gifts
with our families.

Still sleeply...the few blocks to the Church wore her out!
