Visiting Grandma Schumcher and the newest Schumacher Baby

Saturday April 10, Vahn, Emma, & I made a trip to western Iowa to see Great Grandma Leva and the newest addition to the Schumacher family, baby Claire. I am not sure if Emma was excited or what but she didn't sleep too much in the car but the last 30 minutes to Battle Creek. Grandma Leva meant us at the door, she was excited to see all of us. Emma wasn't too sure what to think but soon warmed up to Great Grandma and was running around the place. It was a little windy out but we decided to head to the park. Emma loved the slide and the swings! Grandma thought she could carry Emma on the way back, Vahn said Emma was heavy, but Grandma insisted. After a few seconds Leva was here take her. I told her Emma was about 30 lbs, and she said why didn't you tell me that! It was too funny!
After we got back we had cookies and milk. Emma sat nicely on Grandma's lap, which Leva was very proud to be holding Emma. What a nice visit we had. Next, we headed to Early to see Nick, Amy, Sophia, and Baby Claire. We always have a good time with them, its too bad we don't live closer, we say that every time. Hopefully the summer we can get the girls together more often!

More of Easter weekend!

Happy Easter contines....here are some more pictures of our weekend in MN.
I am really sad that I didn't get a family picture of Vahn, Emma and I in our Easter clothes.
Emma was a doll in her blue dress. By the end of the morning she was ready to get the layered dress off. Our weekend in MN started by meeting Uncle Nick at the Mall of America and going out for lunch. There wasn't a lot of choices since we were looking for something without meat. We ate a a good fish & shrimp restaurant. It was a little spendy but it was good, I ordered onion rings and it was pretty cool the way they came. Also, I had a great drink, I got to keep the shaker it came in. After we ate the guys hit the miniture golf while mom, grandma and Emma walked off our meal. We checked out American Girl store, its every girls dream! Emma loved the store and just kept pointing. She wanted to take a baby home so bad! Hopefully next Christmas or birthday we will get her one. My favorite one was the softball player. After the mall the guys and Emma were ready for a nap. Mom and I went for a walk and decided to head to the stadium. It was a nice night and our hotel was so close. I am so glad we went. We ended up at Gate 34, Kirby's gate, and shared a beer, and just watched people. While we were people watching we seen Iowa States girls bball coach and a cousin on the Becker side...pretty funny. We ended the evening by going bowling. Vahn and I hadn't bowl since my dads company took us out two years ago, so its been awhile. Guess who kicked some butt! Yes, MEEEE! I won the first one and just about did the second game but I messed it up! I out scored my dad, Nick, Vahn, my mom and Cory. It was great! Emma so wanted to join us, she was a great sport. Saturday was game day and it was awesome. We had great seats and the weather was perfect! We ended the weekend going to Church and out for breakfast before we said good bye to Uncle Nick. I am so glad we got to see him, it was a wonderful weekend, and I am looking forward to our friend Ryan's wedding so we can see him again!

Emma was jamming out to the music at the restaurant.
It got us all laughing!!

now singing with the one finger up!

Easter Weekend

The pictures of our weekend our backwards. The first ones start our afternoon home on Sunday.
Emma was excited to get out of the car and run around outside.
She loved her bubbles. She also thought it was neat
carrying around a stick...Gus didn't like it.

Eating breakfast before Nick flew out.
Emma was the hit of the place. We got so many good
complaints about her dress and how cute she is!
Yes, we know!

CHEEZZZEEEE!!!!!

Hi uncle Nick!

Twins stadium was awesome! We had a great day at the
ball park. The weather was perfect and how our seats were just as
great! I can't wait to go back! It felt like we were somewhere
else, but MN!

Vahn and I walked around before the game. I took this picture from the upper deck.
Kirby was my favorite player in the day!
come on TC...shoot it our way!

Vahn and I will celebrate two years on 4-12.
This trip was a little vacation for us..away from the everyday life.
We had a great time.
